Quick Geology Terms
- Igneous rocks- Rocks that are melted that harden over time
- Sedimentary rocks- Rocks broken down from weathering and formed by cementation, chemical, biochemical, or organic means.
- Metamorphic rocks- Rocks that undergo Intense heat, pressure, and chemically active fluids to morph into a different type of rock.

- Bya- Billion Years Ago
- Limestone- A rock composed of calcite molecules, its also used in many everyday materials such as cement.
- Shale- a fine grained sedimentary rock that is easily breakable into sheets. It is also know as mudstone.
- Sandstone- Highly compressed sand formed into a rock.
- Plate- Extremely large pieces of earth that sit on top of another layer of the earth.
- Plate Boundaries- The edges of two large plates that are right next to each other.
- Subduction Zone- Where one plate boundary is pushed under another plate boundary.
